Bug Description

Binary package hint: thunderbird

On a clean install of Kubuntu 9.10 64-bit and a clean install of Thunderbird 64-bit from the repository (2.0.0.23), Thunderbird would not launch URLs. It simply ignored my clicking. Setting the default application in System Settings did not resolve the problem. Going into the JavaScript config file and adding the string network.protocol-handler.app.http, and setting it to firefox, did resolve the problem.

Hello Kevin,
Thank you for submitting this bug and reporting a problem with Thunderbird.

You made this bug report in 2009 and there have been several versions of Ubuntu and Thunderbird since then.

Could you confirm that this is no longer a problem and that we can close the ticket?
Or, if it is still a problem, could you run the following (only once):
apport-collect 493415

and upload the updated logs and and any other logs that are relevant for this particular issue.

Thank you again for helping make Ubuntu and Thunderbird better.

G
