Bug Description

After the last kernel update I can't hear any sound from any application...
Before I had also other problem (distorted audio after some minute) ... but this update has stopped my sound card at all.

druido77, thank you for taking the time to report this issue. To start off, what is your sound card? Second, could you please install 'linux-backports-modules-alsa-karmic-generic' package and reboot. Be sure to unmute devices after the reboot as they may become muted in the process.
