Bug Description
Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager
There isn't any option to set the default action when the power button is presed on a computer. It is normally set to interactive and some users like to customize their computers to just shut down when they press the power button, not ask to shut down (it isn't "ask to shut down" button lol j/k). I looked in gnome-power-manger which any average user should be able to find but reluctantly i couldn't find an option to change it. I then searched in gconf-editor for possibly a key i could change, to my LUCK i foudn it. I have included screenshots of both the gui for gnome-power-manger & the key in gconf editor. There should be an option: "when i press the shutdown button ..." --> option1, 2, 3 etc. (like for suspend).
Screenshot of gnome without the option to choose action when pressing the shutdown key.
