crash icon appears in notification area after ubuntu 9.10 amd64 live cd boots up to the desktop

Hi Fane,

I see the following in your OopsText.txt file:

EDAC amd64: WARNING: ECC is NOT currently enabled by the BIOS. Module will NOT be loaded.
    Either Enable ECC in the BIOS, or use the 'ecc_enable_override' parameter.
    Might be a BIOS bug, if BIOS says ECC is enabled
    Use of the override can cause unknown side effects.

This is actually a duplicate of bug 422536 so I am marking it as such. Unfortunately that bug has quite a few comments, but I'd particularly direct you to comment https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/422536/comments/187 from one of our kernel devs. Thanks!
