Bug Description
Binary package hint: gdm
Upgrading GDM removes customized GDM configuration.
This configuration is now held in ~gdm/.gconf. After upgrading the gdm package, the ~gdm/.gconf directory is empty. Since the new gdm utilizes this area for configuration, upgrading the package removes customizations.

Upgrading this package should leave customizations intact.
Normally the configuration is held in $HOME/.gconf, but apparently is being held somewhere different... Sorry for those details being wrong.
In any case, the configuration was reset upon an upgrade of gdm.
