Bug Description

I have installed Ubuntu Karmic. I have been used Jaunty earlier, then I made a clear install of (formatted HD and installed) Ubuntu 9.10. I've noticed a very disappointing issue. And as I can see many people all around the world see the same. I've reported about it here: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=8415316#post8415316. You can see my post under 'dkodanev' nick. The problem in few words (I suppose the authors don't mind if I cite him, 'cos they described the problem just exactly):

"My problem is that when I do a hard eject for a CD or DVD (ejecting via the actual eject button on the drive), the CD/DVD doesn't unmount. This isn't to say that it doesn't eject, it does. What I'm saying is that after I hard eject DVD or CD X, DVD or CD X acts as though it were never ejected and stays mounted on the desktop, nautilus side pane--I end up having to manually un-mount DVDs and CDs after I do a hard eject. I don't have this problem when I right click a volume and choose 'eject.' Also, I never had this problem in Jaunty--only now that I'm using Karmic. Please let me know if there is a solution to this."

"This also causes that the drive doesn't mount another disc you put into the drive unless you unmount the other one (the one thats already out!)."

Please take a look at the links I've added to my post at ubuntuforums.org. Maybe they would help you to fix this annoying bug.
