I just wanted to highlight some text with my mouse in kmail and I received a gdm login screen.

Could you attach a copy of /var/log/Xorg.0.log.old after a crash as well as the output of lspci -vvnn please? Thanks.

I think I have same or similar problem.

I have Kubutnu 9.10.

It happens when you work with KMail, clicking with mouse... I saw black screen for 1 second and after that I was at login screen.

This bug only happens by mere chance (at least, I don't know the exact conditions (if any)), so now it happened again. I hope it helps you to solve this issue. Thank you.
