HTML files open in Firefox, regardless of preferences

Bug Description

In my Gnome preferences and in update-alternatives I have selected Epiphany as my default browser. However, if I click on any HTML file on my computer, it will load in Firefox rather than Epiphany.

This is using Dapper Final with the latest round of security updates as of June 8, 2006.

Epiphany is selected in the drop-down dialog for Web Browser, and the "Open link in new tab" option is selected.

Other applications seem to honor these options, from what I can tell.
