KDE can't start after the login

hello,
I run Kubuntu Karmic 9.10 on x86 64 with ecrypts and this morning i am unable to start again my system.
After put my pass , it start to load but it hang on at the middle and i have the error:
"the following installation problem was detected while trying to start KDE
No write access to "/home/
could not start ksmserver

i have found that i can start in terminal sudo "sudo startx" and so it have started KDE as root but i really need help to know how fix this problem, as root i take care to not edit a wrong data.
