Bug Description
If a playlist name contains at least one dot, after restarting Exaile the name up to and including the first dot is deleted. This only occurs when there are multiple tabs open, and only on those tabs that lack focus when Exaile is closed.
For example, "DI.FM Trance" would become "FM Trance" after restart.
Using Exaile 0.3.0.2 from PPA on Ubuntu Linux 9.10

I can't confirm this in either 0.3.0.x bzr or trunk, using the exact same playlist name you did. Could you grab a copy of 0.3.0.x bzr (bzr co lp:exaile/0.3.0 exaile-0.3.0.x, then run ./exaile in the source to start it) and verify whether you can reproduce it?
