Nautilus confirmation dialogues are modal, blocking all other windows

When Nautilus ask confirmation, for example on file overwrite, all other Nautilus windows are locked and the user can't do nothing also in other Nautilus windows.
The other windows must be unlocked, because the user can't check the two files in detail on that situation.
Also, a little more detail on files should be appreciated (file date/time last modified, preview, complete path and two button that open the files/dirs directly on 2 separate process/windows).

I'm using nautilus 2.28.1 on ubuntu 9.10-amd64.

Thank you for your bug report. The issue is an upstream one and it would be nice if somebody having it could send the bug the to the people writting the software (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Upstream/GNOME)

I can confirm that, although the modal confirmation dialogue might not be in front of other Nautilus windows, any action in other Nautilus windows is impossible until you've answered the question.
