Bug Description

I have a Plextor cd/dvd writer and I'm having problems writing cd's with it. DVD writing seems to work fine. The following is the output from k3b, but cd-writing also fails e.g. when trying to write an .iso file using "right-click->Write to disk"...

Hi, thanks for your bug report. Now, that the current version of the linux kernel is 2.6.15-27, do you still have this problem with the latest linux kernel?

Hi, I reported a new bug after installing from Ubuntu dapper final. Refer to bug 54828 which has been fixed. I got the cd-burning working at some point. I cannot confirm any changes to cd burning due to the latest kernel update since I had to swich back to windows due to some hardware issues. Sorry for the inconvenience... should have marked it as a duplicate. I'll know better next time.
