after system update started getting this error. seems system hanged while updating, had to restart, subsequently encountered the b2evolution error. tried to uninstall evolution could not do so as some lock is preventing

David, are you looking into fixing it?
This looks like a problem with the dbconfig handling.

@raghu8linux: you should be able to workaround this by starting / installing a local MySQL server

b2evolution is not being supported by Ubuntu currently anymore and will be removed from the archives for now (bug 872383).

Please refer to the upstream site at http://b2evolution.net, if you're so inclined to install it manually.
