Bug Description

Binary package hint: window-picker-applet

Using karmic with window-picker-applet 0.5.8

One annoyance I have with the window picker is that the bar is not active when there is a maximized window that doesn't have focus. It should simply always display the highest stacked maximized window title.

For instance, lets say you use firefox (maximized) and open the download window (not maximized).
In this case, why is the applet not displaying the title of the browser window?
I guess not having the title is not very important, but not being able to close or unmaximize the window without switching back the focus to it beforehand is annoying.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better.

Design decision are quite difficult to reach everyone's agreement. You can still change the gconf key /apps/mutter/undecorate to have all windows decorated again.
