Bug Description

Binary package hint: wesnoth

Wesnoth (1:1.6.5-1 in synaptic) takes awfully long time closing in Ubuntu Karmic 9.10. Whenever I open the program then close it, it can take up to 30 minutes closing.
Trying to use the "system monitor" (not sure it's the good terms, I translate from french) to close "wesnoth" and "wesnoth-nolog" doesn't change anything. In fact, "wesnoth-nolog" closes, but "wesnoth" (which CPU use wesnoth amounts to 90-100%, and status is "sleepin" and "futex_wait_queue_me") doesn't. Or more precisely, it will, eventually...

Also, deactivating sound solves the problem. Activating it brings it back...

That's it; if you need more info just ask me, but please also tell me how to get it 'cause there is high probability I won't know what you're talking about. Thanks.

Please install libsdl1.2debian-pulseaudio to fix the issue, it's neither a problem in wesnoth nor is it specific to wesnoth, it affects all SDL applications. Feel free to raise your voice in bug #203158 about that it should get fixed.

Thanks, and sorry for the inconvenience.
Rhonda
