Bug Description

1. Use of lp:emacs is misleading. If you're going to use Emacs, use the Savannah URLs. However, I think it would be preferable to use a project that's "native" to Launchpad.

2. In the "Initialize" dialog, the "make parent directories" box should be mentioned. Especially for Emacs users, who are used to specifying arbitrary paths and having Emacs ask if parents should be created. They might very well choose to put their repo in a directory that doesn't exist yet.

3. The screens of GNU Emacs at Launchpad really do make it look like Emacs lives at Launchpad. The initial disclaimer about using Savannah URLs just isn't enough to offset the visual impact here.

4. git is still more flexible than Bazaar as far as configuring the relationship between trees and repositories goes. By using the GIT_DIR, GIT_WORK_TREE, GIT_OBJECT_DIRECTORY, and GIT_ALTERNATE_OBJECT_DIRECTORIES, an amazing variety of effects can be achieved. (Of course Bazaar does more in two dimensions: it allows branches to be separated from both tree and repo, and it allows repos to be remote.)

5. The link to the bug tracker should be in the sidebar. (Cf. bug #489225, which I now realize is inaccurate.)
