Bug Description

Binary package hint: gpsdrive-scripts

Hello,

I'm currently using gpsfetchmap script (provided by gpsdrive-scripts package), and saw that it's really out of date. A patch, done in january 2008, adds support for OSM maps, and it seems that ubuntu jaunty's version doesn't use this version, but an older one.

System informations :

Description: Ubuntu 9.04
Release: 9.04

Package version:
gpsdrive-scripts 2.10~pre4-6.dfsg-1ubuntu1

Should use pre7 version.

For information, copying script directly from soruces doesn't break anything, so maybe you can just change script in package without doing anything else (but consider upgrading all versions... )

Best regards,

C.

Hi,

I'm the upstream author of the patch. As the patch is newer than the fixes checked in on Aug 31 2009, it should be modern enough. but the version in ubuntu is so badly out of date that it's somewhat embarrassing.

I've posted unofficial .debs of modern release 2.11 to http://download.osgeo.org/livedvd/data/gpsdrive/

regards,
Hamish
