Can't set Syntax Highlighting

Binary package hint: kate

Expected behavior:

http://kate-editor.org/downloads/syntax_highlighting?kateversion=3.2
dialog available under Settings->Configure Kate->Highlighting

Actual Behavior:
There is no Highlighting option.

Just a few quick questions...
Are you trying to set the syntax highlighting or are you trying to download/install a new syntax file? To set the syntax highlighting all you have to use Tools -> Highlighting. Do you think this is related to this bug: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=205295 ?

I'm trying to set the syntax highlighting.

Kate recognises xml and not XML and previously I was able to add the option for files with the extension XML but now there is no option.

According to the Kate site the option should be there.

Try:

Settings->Configure Kate. In the left panel, select "Open/Save". Choose the "Modes Filetypes" tab and select "Markup/XML" from the dropdown menu at the top. Append ";*.XML" to the "File extensions" list. Click Apply and then OK.

Is this the method you were referring to? I think the developers may have moved it.
