Bug Description

Binary package hint: epdfview

Description: Ubuntu 9.10
Release: 9.10

the print dialog in epdfview sizes itself based on the number of printers, and ignores the screen size. If you have more printers than you have screen real estate, the dialog continues off screen. There is no way to scroll, or resize the dialog. One has to alt+click to move the dialog in order to select printers, click "Print" or click "Cancel".

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to look at all reported bugs in a timely manner. There have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem may have been fixed with some of the updates. It would help us a lot if you could test a current Ubuntu 10.10. If you can test it, and it is still an issue, we would appreciate if you could let us know.

We will also need to know the version of the package you are using, via 'apt-cache policy epdfview' or by checking in Synaptic Package Manager.

Hi, here at our site we have the same problem. I've included a patch which we succesfully implemented. I'm not a C/GTK programmer, but the solution seems to do the job. The attached patch adds scrollbars to the treeview widget (which is used to show the available printers).
