Bug Description

I'm not sure if this is the same as https://bugs.launchpad.net/gwibber/+bug/259830 because I am able to view my Twitter messages, but I don't see any pictures. The http_proxy environment variable is set, and the Network Proxy is configured in GNOME.

Running "strace -e trace=network gwibber" shows that gwibber tries multiple connections to port 80 somewhere without using the proxy:

connect(24, {sa_family=AF_INET, sin_port=htons(80), sin_addr=inet_addr("216.137.59.107")}, 16) = -1 EINPROGRESS (Operation now in progress)

Gwibber package 2.0.0~bzr476-0ubuntu3 in Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala.
