Bug Description
Please backport bzr 2.0.0.
This fixes many bugs compared to 1.13.1 currently in jaunty, and adds support for the 2a repository format recommended for general use today, and being used for UbuntuDistribut
This release has been out for two months now without critical failures. It's been used from our ppa on jaunty and other platforms.
2.0.0 has substantial api changes from 1.13.1, so all packages depending on bzr will need to be considered for backporting too. There should be no interoperation problems with user data or across the network.
We're also going to ask for the bugfix-only release 2.0.2 to go into Karmic as an SRU, so you may want to wait for that, or not.
Oooh. Martin, we definitely want to take the opportunity to backport bzr 2.0.2 after-SRU and its entire stack to Jaunty. If the SRU seems to hit a snag or otherwise take too long, poke this bug report again and we'll take the 2.0.0 route (since as I understand it 2.0.2 can drop-in replace 2.0.0 without this big reverse-depends chase)
