Bug Description
Binary package hint: brasero
Description: Ubuntu 9.10
Release: 9.10
brasero:
Installed: 2.28.2-0ubuntu1
Candidate: 2.28.2-0ubuntu1
Expected Behaviour:
CD to have track information written
Actual Behaviour:
No track information was written to the CD
I have tried this several times, and although Brasero correctly reads the track information and sets up the project correctly, it fails to write the track information to the CD. After supposedly burning successfully, returning to the project shows a loss of all project information (previously read titles and artists are missing), including the CD title. Reading the disc shows a lack of track information.
To reproduce:
1) Start a new audio CD project in Brasero.
2) Add any number of audio files (I tested only with mp3s, however). Brasero will read the track information correctly.
3) Burn the CD.
4) Returning to the project, track and CD title information is lost (I am not sure if the information is also lost if the project has been saved previously, though I suspect not).
5) Reading the CD in any drive/computer capable of displaying CD information shows a lack of track information (though at times I have discovered that the CD title remains intact).

Is your disk drive Writable. On most new computers (2006+) it should have this. On older ones this features is not installed by default and requires a new disk drive.
