Banshee opens and closes immediately

I am extremely new to Linux and I installed banshee and it opens and closes immediately and I'm using Ubuntu 9.10 and Banshee 1.5 So I've tried running it from terminal and this is the message I get.

This looks like a gstreamer bug to me; can you move your
~/.gstreamer-0.10/registry.$(SOMETHING).bin out of the way to trigger a
full registry rebuild? $(SOMETHING) is going to be something like
"x86_64" or "i386". You can move it out of the way by running

"""
mv ~/.gstreamer-0.10 ~/gstreamer-registry-backup
"""

in a terminal.

I guess this bug isn't applicable anymore because I had to reinstall Linux. I reinstalled Banshee now it works perfectly. Thanks for the help.
