Bug Description

Out of Byobu, holding ctrl + lift or right allows to to jump the cursor per word. But in Byobu it outputs '5C' to the console instead of jumping to the end of the word.

Hello,

Thanks for the report.

Unfortunately, I'm not able to reproduce this behavior on the latest version of Byobu.

From a bash shell prompt, I can type something like:
kirkland@x200:~$ one two three four five

And use ctrl-<left> and ctrl-<right> and move back and forth among the words.

A few questions for you:
 1) What version of byobu are you running? byobu -v
 2) Can you start from a pure, default byobu environment? Move your ~/.screenrc and ~/.byobu out of the way, and then launch 'byobu'. You should then have a clean, default configuration. Now try those keys.

Hi

There is some confusion now, I think

I reported on 16.10.2009 "New question #86024 on byobu:"

Normally <C-Left> goes 1 word left, both on command line and in vim.
Within screen the command line is OK. In vim however it deletes then next 5 lines,
whereas not in screen it does the normal 1 word left movement. Same goes for <C-Right>

You seem to have tried on the command line, which never was a problem.

Answers to your questions
1)
byobu -v
byobu version 2.38
Screen version 4.00.03jw4 (FAU) 2-May-06

2)
It still eats my lines when in vim!

Regards, Jack

Okay, Jack, thanks for the info. I was able to reproduce this problem in screen (without byobu), thus, I'm reassigning the bug there. Perhaps someone with more screen knowledge than I can help triage this bug.

Thanks!
