KASH3 is a console-based computer algebra system.

The license inside the archive says it is released under LGPL v2.1 but I was unable to locate the source code.

Although this package is not maintained anymore, it is very useful for mathematicians researchers. Indeed it is the only real free alternative to the very expensive package Magma .
So, a package is really needed for ubuntu. Please consider to reopen this bug.

They can't be serious about this one:
"If you obtain KASH please send us a short notice to that effect, e.g., an e-mail message to the address <email address hidden> containing your full name and address. This allows us to keep track of the number of KASH users. "
