Bug Description

Binary package hint: ubiquity

Ubiquity must be nicer to idiots like me trying to install Karmic on an USB stick, beside Windows XP.

Upon attempts to install on removable media e.g. sda1, Ubiqity MUST give the choice where to install GRUB.
It is not acceptable to install GRUB on hda1 without any kind of warning and without leaving any option to avoid that!

After an apparently unproblematic installation, neiter XP, nor the installed Unbuntu were bootable.
The MBR of hda1 was screwed up and could not even be revived with ms-sys.

I will file more info later, for the time being, I need to get again access to a booting system.

Imho Ubiquity is a better place for it: it is not a GRUB2 problem, but a installer one, isn't it?

Ubiquity prioritises GRUB installation for removable media, at least in 2.18.8.3.
