Unable to select text in Lyx when glipper is running

When glipper is running it is not possible to select text in Lyx.

I am running Ubuntu 9.10
Lyx version: 1.6.4-1ubuntu1
glipper version: 1.0

Observed exactly the same behaviour here (Karmic x86_64, LyX 1.6.4-1ubuntu1, glipper 1.0-1.1ubuntu1)

i suppose this is either do to Bug #104432 or Bug #217919
please check if it is a duplicate

I can confirm this bug.
If I have turned glipper on for the select clipboard and then try to mark something in LyX, the selection goes away immediately. The selected text is visible in the glipper menu though and I can paste it aswell.
So this is bearable if I select a word using double-click, but if I mark something by dragging, then the glipper menu is filled with entries with just one or two letters, because he constantly starts over again.
@Michael Nagel: The bugs you referenced have to do with binary or non-parsable content, which seems not to be the case, because glipper shows the selected text correctly in the menu.

Just a hint: parcellite can be used as a replacement for glipper. There is no problem with lyx, though selected text in lyx does not appear in parcellite (however CTRL-C works).
