OK, I tried a third time from a clean install and the same problem occured. 14 in the Ubuntu One folder and only 7 get synced.

PS. I wanted to add this to the other bug report, but LP didn't find the bug although I used the exact same heading. Sigh ..

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better.

Have you paid to expand your storage space on Ubuntu One? If not, can you please verify that those directories do not exceed 2 GB.

I tried U1 for the first time. The 14 files are just 46mb and U1 only uploads 7 which take 21 mb.

Hi Tom,

I'm sorry to hear Ubuntu One isn't working properly for you. I think we're going to need to see some debug logs, which will require you to do the following:

1. Open (or create if it doesn't exist): ~/.config/ubuntuone/syncdaemon.conf
2. Add the following 2 lines to this file and save:

[__main__]
log_level = DEBUG

3. Restart the Ubuntu One client
4. Let the client try to sync (maybe even add a file to force it to sync)
5. Attach ~/.cache/ubuntuone/log/syncdaemon.log to this bug report

Note that attaching syncdaemon.log will show filenames you are attempting to sync with Ubuntu One. If you do not want this to be public, please mark the bug as private and this bug report will only be available to you and the Ubuntu One team.

Thank you,

Joshua

I'm experiencing this bug on Oneiric.

Going to try to generate the debugging log file for this as described by Joshua Hoover, and will post it when the problem resurfaces.

How do I generate the system information provided by the original bug reporter for my system?
