Unable to Upgrade to Ubuntu 9.10

I am not able to upgrade to Ubuntu 9.10 I keep getting the following error messages:

I upgraded a similar system (AMD dual core instead of AMD quad core)
without problems. I suspect the presence of Athena is contributing to
the deviant behavior. (This is my developer platform...)

Byron, I doubt that was the issue. The error messages that were posted state difficulties in downloading the necessary files. Unless the original reporter can retest to see if the upgrade process still fails regardless of which mirror is used, I will leave this report as a duplicate.
