     - bump policy to 3.8.3 (no changes)
     - bump build-dep on debhelper to 7
     - clarify relation to xdelta package
   * debian/compat: bump to 7
   * debian/rules:
     - add quilt code
     - dh_clean -k => dh_prep
     - remove nostrip code, now handled by dh_strip
   * debian/patches/add_fpic.patch : fix FTBFS (closes: #539782)
   * debian/README.source: added to stop lintian complaining about quilt usage

Hi,

Could you please report the ubuntu's changes to Debian? I don't see any bug reporting for the problem with python2.6 there.
Let's see if Debian adopt them.
