Explanation of the Ubuntu delta and why it can be dropped:
Ubuntu's change (Depend on python-ogg instead of python-pyogg) has been merged in Debian.

 balazar3 (0.1-5) unstable; urgency=low

   * Depend on python-ogg instead of python-pyogg which is a transitional
     package. Closes: #522521.
   * Bump Standards-Version. No changes required.

Check with Debian if the debian maintainer is willing to integrate them of convert this bug report to a merge request.

Fabrice, I heard that lucid will support only python 2.6. Changes what you point at previously comment are about python 2.5. So I think that these aren't important.

Correct, lucid will only support python2.6 - that means that the Debian package, which calls python2.5 explicitly, *must* be patched to be buildable and usable in lucid.

So I'm marking this bug as invalid, since the package must not be synced in its current form. Feel free to reopen the bug and re-propose it as a merge if you wish to prepare a patch.
