I'm not against this, but if I'm not wrong it doesn't seem to be the expected behaviour with other projects, e.g., Pidgin, Skype.

Thanks for your bug report and helping to make Ubuntu better. This should be reported upstream to the developers following the instructions at http://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Upstream/GNOME

ctrl+w is the key in gnome to close window. and I am sure upstream developers wont even consider this as they want hotkeys to be global not different for each app. Thanx

Thank you for bringing this bug to our attention. However, a paper cut should be a small usability issue , in the default Ubuntu 9.10 install , that affects many people and is quick and easy to fix. So this bug can't be addressed as part of the project.

different behavior for different apps in my opinion == chaos.

For further info about papercuts criteria , pls read > https://wiki.ubuntu.com/PaperCut

Don't worry though, This bug has been marked as "invalid" ONLY in the papercuts project.

Hey, how do you close a _dialog_box_ on Gnome? It should not be regarded as window, but as dialog box!
