Bug Description

Binary package hint: ubuntuone-client

I've successfully login to ubuntu one both through web and nautilus/client.
I've put a dozen of pdf files in my /home/username/ubuntuone folder and only few of them were uploaded.
now I can login via web interface but the client always says "not connected".
I'm using UFW (deluge allowed) but even if I disable it I still can't login.

Hi, I'm sorry to hear Ubuntu One isn't working properly for you. Based on your syncdaemon.conf file, I think you may be affected by bug 455544. Can you try quitting Ubuntu One client, deleting ~/.config/ubuntuone/syncdaemon.conf and then start the Ubuntu One client? Thank you, Joshua

thanks for your quick replay.
no luck anyway.
i've deleted that file after closing the client -> still no login.
i've deleted the folder -> still no login.

in both tries, system-notification pops up saying "syncronization in progress" but nothing happens...

PS: sorry for my english and sorry if the reported message aren't really as expected: i'm italian and so i'm "translating"...

resolved in a very strange ways.
I'm connecting to internet with and usb "internet key" (3G HSDPA) with a propietary application.
If i try to connect through ubuntu-one client nothing happens.
If I turn on my router (not really connected to internet, just turned on) and network manager "feels" it, and then i connect to internet with my internet key... ubuntu-one client does work!

firefox, chromium, evolution... any apps works without network manager "connected", ubuntu-client not.
do you need other informations?

OK, Then you were affected by two bugs then. :-) First was the one I pointed you to earlier. The second bug (bug 357395) remains, which is Ubuntu One currently needs NetworkManager to run. We should have a fix for this one coming out very soon for those willing to use our test PPA (repository, instead of pulling from Karmic).
