Bug Description

Binary package hint: ubuntuone-client

OK. I signed in on https://one.ubuntu.com/ from another system. I created a folder and copied a few files there.
I was expecting to see those files in my Ubuntu /home/USER/Ubuntu One folder. Sorry, no files there.

They DO exist on the website but they are not synchronized to my Ubuntu desktop.

Suddenly those files are synchronized afterall! The computer was on all day but the files got updated just a minute ago.

Hi BadBoy,

Sorry to hear Ubuntu One wasn't working properly for you. I'm glad the files synchronized, although rather late. Right now the best way to get files added via the web to sync with a client is to restart the Ubuntu One client. We're working on fixing this so you don't have a long delay or have to do this workaround.

Thank you,

Joshua

Joshua, thanks for the info.
Why not make an option "Force synchronize"? :)

Hi BadBoy, We haven't provided that option because that would be a workaround rather than a fix. This doesn't mean we won't consider that option in the future, but right now we're focusing on fixing the bigger issue, which is the need to get notifications working between clients and the server so they sync up right away. :-) Thank you, Joshua
