Binary package hint: empathy

Whenever trying to connect to the MSN protocol in empathy, says authentication failed.

I checked multiple times if I entered the password correctly, it is correct, also if it helps my password is over 10 characters long and in all caps, I know in older versions of pidgin (gaim) this used to be a problem with the MSN protocol resulting in the same problem as this, please fix this :(

Seem to have the same problem on Lucid 64bits. I've a 20 caracters' password, It's working with pidgin but not with empathy.

Just found a clue, if I type only the 16 firsts characters of my windows live password, it's working.

So I think that for msn connexion, empathy should truncate password longer than 16 characters. I think that's done by Pidgin.

please obtain telepathy-butterfly logs from Help>Debug and select butterfly there, save the logs and attach to this bug report.

I just changed my password to very very long characters and added my hotmail account into empathy and it worked fine in Ubuntu-10.10 is anyone facing this issue in Ubuntu-10.10 if yes please attach the telepathy-butterfly logs as suggested else this bug will be closed as invalid.
