Hello Philip,

Will you be able to provide these log files (you will have to repeat the install attempt with the same Live CD to get them)? Without the logs we will not be able to follow up this issue further. Thanks.

OK, glad you got it working! If you experience a similar problem with a newer version of Ubuntu please open a separate bug. I'm closing this one now since we cannot pursue it further without log files.
