Bug Description

Kernel 2.6.15-23-k7

My syslog gets cluttered of messages

NTFS-fs error (device sda5): ntfs_nlstoucs(): Name using character set utf8 contains characters that cannot be converted to Unicode.
NTFS-fs error (device sda5): ntfs_lookup(): Failed to convert name to Unicode.

After I've mounted my NTFS share. It would be great if I could suppress these messages somehow, so that useful log messages wouldn't get lost
in this noise.

This is actually a wish for a suppress mount option.

Hardy Heron 8.04 was recently released. It would be helpful if you could test the new release and verify if this is still an issue - http://www.ubuntu.com/testing . You should be able to test your bug using the LiveCD. Please let us know your results. Thanks.
