Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-alsamixer

ubuntu karmic 9.10
gnome-alsamixer: 0.9.7~cvs.20060916.ds.1-2

In gnome-alsamixer's gui, changing the settings from Edit > Sound Card Properties will change the panel, however when I return to the panel, all options are enabled again. Cancelling the options window results in all options turned back on.

I attempted to manually change the keys in gconf-editor (apps/gnome-alsamixer), but the changes had no effect. When launching the gnome-alsamixer, any changes I made to gconf are not reflected in the app. The gconf changes stay regardless of any setting changes I make in the app.

Cheers.

The same happens top me with karmic. I seen than in gconf-editor settings are saved as I let in gnome-alsamixer but when I reload gnome-alsamixer all sound knobs appear again. Also going to Edit-Program Preferences makes you lost settings.
