Bug Description

Binary package hint: tex4ht

The current Ubuntu version uses TeXLive 2007, which contains scrbook v2.95b. The current tex4ht package uses a file named scrbook.4ht which contains two macros, which are not defined: \scr@compatibility and \csname scr@v@2.97d\endcsname.

This leeds to error messages in the following code:

  \ifnum \scr@compatibility>\@nameuse{scr@v@2.97d}\space
    \if@mainmatter\thechapter.\fi
  \else

I don't know why \thesection is redefined at all, but if it is necessary those two macros should be defined.

It seems to has been fixed upstream in http://svn.gnu.org.ua/viewvc/tex4ht/trunk/lit/tex4ht-4ht.tex?view=log#rev141 rev 141.

I have this problem too but I tried to patch it and it doesn't seems to be enough (patch: https://gist.github.com/rhaamo/4e6241ce44acbbcc89c564445b63bd82)

The TeX4ht team is busy fixing bugs and releasing bug fixes with TeXLive (see http://tug.org/tex4ht/)

Two Debian bugs are related:

https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=775190
https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=832094

I'd prefer to „fix“ the latter one in order to get regular fixes.
