Need to install scanbuttond to detect the scan button and activate scan application

Ok, so it can be done. However, it is not an out-of-the-box experience.

The default installation should include both simple-scan plus scanbuttond. Maybe scanbuttond should be a dependency of simple-scan, or at least be marked as a recommended package.

Also, just installing the scanbuttond package doesn't take you anywhere. It must be configurated by developing custom scripts. This is completely counter-intuitive.

Could something be done in order to get the scanbuttond functionality configured by default, either pointing to simple-scan, or to a dialog that allows to choose what scanner application to open?

Finally, just a thought. Maybe this bug should be assigned to scanbuttond instead of simple-scan?
