Bug Description

Binary package hint: renpy

Sound isn't working on a Karmic version of Ren'Py. This is likely because sws_scale is in libswscale0, which isn't being linked. You'll want to patch module/setup.py to link in that file, so sound works.

This bug is also affecting Lucid.

Since music and other audio are a very significant part of many games, could this be upgraded to high priority?

Oops. It seems that this problem is actually fixed in Lucid. I had selected the wrong audio output device.

I did a fresh install of Karmic, but the sound seemed to work fine on my machine. Same thing after I ran the Update Manager - the sound seems perfectly fine.

Could you tell me how to reproduce the problem? Has it fixed itself?
