Apt doesn't recognize properties in file repositories

Bug Description

Binary package hint: apt

Apt omits repository properties (such as origin, label etc) for local 'file' repositories. This is affecting apt-build repository, as it is impossible to change the priority of its repository with built packages (cannot change pin preferences). It means that remote packages will always replace locally built ones.

I attach the output of "apt-cache policy" command. The apt-build repository is the only one missing any properties, although the "Release" file has them.

It seems the repository gets the default priority of 500. Where did you specify a different one? Does the behaviour change if you serve the same repository over a local web server?
