Binary package hint: prelude-manager

When prelude manager installs it gives an error message. package prelude-manager (not installed) failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1.

I tried removing prelude manager from Synaptic Package Manager with the term prelude-manager in the quick search menu, but afterwards it tries to install it self again and returns the same error message - "package prelude-manager (not installed) failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1".

does the package mysql need to be installed before downloading prelude-manager?
I have not yet checked synaptic manager and repositories. this down load (prelude manager) came with several other packages (firefox3.0.16)via update manager. no plug and play here.
