Bug Description

Binary package hint: compiz

After upgrading to Karmic and enabling compiz, Xorg now uses over 80% of CPU cycles (one CPU on dual core machine). Attached is lspci output showing my video card and. I'm using the fglrx driver v8.660 (from repository).

Linux starks 2.6.31-15-generic #50-Ubuntu SMP Tue Nov 10 14:53:52 UTC 2009 x86_64 GNU/Linux

I just restarted my machine and this problem seems to have resolved itself. I will reopen if the problem returns.
