Bug Description

Binary package hint: vinagre

In Jaunty, when using vinagre fullscreen, you can move your mouse pointer to the top of the screen and then the top menu appears. You can return to windowed mode, change zoom, send ctrl-alt-del, things like that.

In Karmic, this menu seems to be present (thin gray line at top of screen) but it doesn't appear when you move your mouse pointer to the top of the screen. And since vinagre captures all keystrokes, I don't know how to return from fullscreen, other than killing vinagre from a tty.

Thanks for reporting this. Are you still seeing this behaviour? It seems to work fine for me in Ubuntu 10.04 (Karmic Koala). Please let us know so this bug can be followed up or closed.

Hello. I'm unable to reproduce this bug neither in Maverick nor in Natty. Can you confirm that this bug is still present? Just as a reminder: you have to point the mouse to the top-center of the screen.

The bug in 10.04-LTS at least is most noticeable in two screen mode for me. It seems to be when the screen used for full-screen mode is below another screen, so the mouse slips between the two screens and very rarely (aarrggh!) hits the right spot. For the record, I have 1920x1200 above a 1200x800.

ps An easy fix might be to have a (configurable) hot key which can be for the fullscreen toggle only, in addition to the existing option which enables all ht keys. It would be good to have this regardless.

pps: Whoops! It is probably relevant to note that I have my menu bar on top of the lower screen, which is in the area of interest.
