Bug Description
Binary package hint: ubuntuone-client
My ubuntuone client worked initially, I first tested this as a beta on 9.04. Now I am using Karmic 9.10, and switched to "wicd"
instead of "network manager" to connect to wireless networks. I uninstalled the "network manager" package, and its
gnome client. These are only "recommended" dependencies of ubuntu-desktop, which is still installed
These are the versions of client packages:
python-
ubuntuone-client (1.0.2-0ubuntu2) ...
ubuntuone-
I tried to see if a reinstall could fix the problem, and ran "ubuntuone-
the missing "network manager", even though "wicd" replaced it and works beautifully on my machine. I get:
timothy@
ERROR:dbus.
(nautilus:27966): Eel-CRITICAL **: eel_preferences
and I still cannot connect. If there is a dependency on "network manager", shouldn't it be explicit? (If this is the problem)

Hi, You're being affected by bug 357395 which we just released a fix for in our beta PPA: https:/ /edge.launchpad .net/~ubuntuone /+archive/ beta You can use this version of the client by adding the beta PPA (deb http:// ppa.launchpad. net/ubuntuone/ beta/ubuntu karmic main ) to your package sources and then from a terminal session:
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade
Thank you,
Joshua
