Bug Description
Binary package hint: ubiquity
I downloaded the 9.10 ISO image from www.ubuntu.com and "burned" to a memory card.
This booted without problem.'
Then I tried to install Ubuntu on the harddrive in this computer and everything up to creating an account worked fine.
However when I created an account I tried to add an _ in it. This has worked on all Unix variants I have used and still use (including my Fedora installation, previous Red Hat installations, Debian variants and so on).
However Ubuntu showed me an Error dialog saying the account name was incorrect.
Upon closing this dialog it automatically was shown again and when closing it popped up again and again. No matter how I tried to get rid of it it always came back. My final solution was to use the terminal to kill the offending process and restart.
Beside the very annoying of not being possible to create an account with _ in it (which is what I have on my other Linux and even OS X machines) the program not being able to go back to a "correcting" state is very user unfriendly.
I have no idea if this is really the correct component. The process I killed was called ubiquity so I might not be too far off but there was no real way of knowing if it was correct or not and I could not really get Launchpad to behave when trying to report the issue.

I have installed Lucid, Alpha 3. There is the similar problem. When you enter incorrect user name with large letters, it shows notification just about 0.5 secs and closes the window. It is almost impossible to read, what is wrong there. See attached screenshot.
