Bug Description

Binary package hint: ubuntuone-client

Suddenly, my left mouse button stopped working. Reboots did not change this phenomenon. The right mouse-button still seems to be working fine. I checked the mouse-configuration in the systems menue and changed it to left handed. This didn't work. I tried this with two different mouses. Same effect. The mouse works fine on another computer. If this can't be fixed, I will have to reinstall ubuntu. This is probably the most frustrating bug I ever encountered using Ubuntu.

Regards

Kikl

One day later, the computer is now back to normal. I have no idea why. I had to reconnect my bluetooth mouse and keyboard. But, this cannot be the cause, because I checked yesterday with a conventional wired mouse, which didn't work either.

I've been noticing other strange behaviour lately. Sometimes the computer logs out without any reason. My user name appears and I have to log in once more. I suspect there are problems with the graphical user interface of ubuntu, the X Window System.

O.K. just a few moments ago, I was suddenly kicked out of ubuntu. The login screen appeared and I had to login. It happened, when I opened a particular website, a youtube-site. If you need further information about my system, I'd be happy to upload it, but please give me some instructions.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to look at all reported bugs in a timely manner. There have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem may have been fixed with some of the updates. It would help us a lot if you could test a current Ubuntu 10.10. If you can est it, and it is still an issue, we would appreciate if you could upload updated logs by running apport-collect 481452, and any other logs that are relevant for this particular issue.

I suspect this is not actually a mousetweaks issue. Are you using any Assistive Technologies options?
