Bug Description
somewhat related to bug #69616 most likely.
Anyway, I was recently trying to mark a bug as a duplicate. I copy and pasted the other bug number, but apparently added a trailing whitespace. I then got a failure about "not a valid bug number or nickname".
To reproduce:
take a bug
click the 'mark as duplicate'
set it to another bug number but add a trailing blank space, like "12345 "
boom.

I think I accidentally included a \n, which resulted in that I couldn't see that I had a trailing whitespace.
Since the pop up doesn't clear the form when you close it, the \n remained in the form through several tries of getting it right.
Very confusing.
Shouldn't this be extremely easy to fix?
