Bug Description

Receive 'serious kernel error' message on desktop loading (via live cd)

As of now this is a lazy effort - the summary being all the information I've got just atm! Presuming I get said crash report again next time I load the live cd (ubu 9.10, amd64 desktop edition), I'll note the specifics of the error and report back. As things stand I'm currently running firefox with >10 open tabs and have not encountered any problems an hour or more after the prophecy of impending doom ("serious kernel instability" or such, from memory) was issued by the crash reporter...

[edit: I've obviously spent way too long off in M$ land - it really shouldn't have come as any surprise to see all of the information I'd intended to collect, and then some, auto-attached below - cheers to common sense :) ) ]
